A quick jewelry break! My first love may be jewelry, but the last couple years, my second love has been my garden. I grew up watching my mom in the garden and eating fresh vegies from it all summer. Now, as an adult, I’ve gotten really nostalgic about that part of my childhood and have jumped in head first into growing my own organic food (or at least trying!). It’s increasingly becoming a more important part of my life, so, I thought I’d share photos with you of my little urban garden…
This bed is potatoes, tomatoes, onions and herbs
Our peas, greens, broccoli, and herbs are all growing like mad right now. So fun!
OK, so the snapdragons aren’t edible – but aren’t they pretty?
More greens, and our huge peas, carrots, beans, beets, eggplant and some other goodies that I hope live : )
Love the color of these nasturtiums too. They are yummy and peppery and look gorgeous in salads.
I obsessively read gardening blogs and if you are looking for some gardening inspiration, recipes and LOTS of great info, check out these 2 amazing ladies – definitely my favorite reads:
